absolute honed granite tile |
Article Number: 201 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Sun, Jul 15, 2007 at 12:00 AM |
i had a black honed granite slab instaled on a serving area in my kitchen. we have loved it. now we would like to install the same but black honed granite tile in the work areas. i have read about your "lemon/oil" test, but i do not have anything to test it on. is there any reason i should not consider this honed tile? i love the look and so far have not had problems with my slab granite. also, i don't know what was put on my existing honed granite server to seal or enhance. i want everything to relate in my kitchen and don't know what else to put with my existing server if the honed tile is not a good idea.
Dear Janis:
About your query, there's no reason to run my little lemon juice (and oil) test on your tiles; nothing negative could ever come out. However, you will have to have a good quality stone color enhancer like MB-6 applied to them, as it was originally done by tour fabricator.
That (and the right cleaning products) is the only way to keep the “moody” nature of hone-finished black granite under control.
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:

Ciao and good luck,
