What would be best natural stone for my pool deck? |
Article Number: 1168 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Sun, Feb 10, 2008 at 12:00 AM |
Dear Mr. Maurizio, we are building a pool deck in our Florida home, and I wondered if you could help us pick the appropriate stone for it. We found some very nice light colored marble, travertine and limestone pieces, but I just know too little about their properties and suitability for the project. Temperature and slippery are of course major concerns we have. Thanks, Mario
Dear Mario:
Among the stones you listed, travertine is the best. If you buy it saw-cut and unfilled, you will not have any slipperiness issue.
And make sure that they won't talk you into sealing it!
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:

Ciao and good luck,
Mauri
