Indian sandstone patio sealer

I am just about to lay a patio using Sandstone. I have read many different articles about whether to seal the finished patio or not. What would you seal the patio and if you would, what product iswould you use? Regards, Martin.

Dear Martin:

And why would you want to seal the poor thing? What on earth did it do to you do deserve that?!... J

There are only two types of stone for outdoor installations: the good ones and the bad ones.

If your stone is good, if you seal it may turn our not to be good anymore.

And if your stone is no good, you can seal it with all the miracles-in-bottle you can put your hands on, bit it still is not going to be good; and sooner or later you will have to use a jack-hammer.

So, let's just hope that your stone is among the good ones. Many a sandstone usually is.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
