Lemon Ice Granite

Hi Maurizio - I recently had installed a light green granite called Lemon Ice (I've also seen it called Surf Green) and we left a clean wet pan on it for a few hours. There is now a ring on it that I hope will dry out but I am wondering how to prevent this from happening again and also wondering, based on reading some of the posts on your site, whether I bought the right counter for a kitchen. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dear Joe:

we left a clean wet pan on it for a few hours. There is now a ring on it that I hope will dry out

If it's only water it will eventually dry out with no consequences.

but I am wondering how to prevent this from happening again

That's an easy one: don't let a wet something sitting on your countertop for hours! J

and also wondering, based on reading some of the posts on your site, whether I bought the right counter for a kitchen.

If properly sealed and properly cared for, it should be all right. And then, even if it were a poor choices… kinda too late now, don't you think?… J
