polished travertine

I have polished travertine marble tiled floor in my kithcen it is getting dull. I see in commercial buildings this same tile but with some type of coating I like the look of thecotaing and it is quite thick looking so probably would hold up well How do I get information on such a coating

Dear Patricia:

The treatment that you see performed on marble in commercial buildings is not the best there is available to begin with, especially for travertine (it would take off most of the filler). Most importantly, it requires frequent maintenance visits.

Bottom line: polished travertine (or polished marble) does not belong in a kitchen – end of the debate and stop looking for “miracle” solutions. They just do net exist.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
