Which stone for coping of & paving by a salt water pool?

Hi Maurizio, I want to renovate and landscape our back yard We have a SALT WATER pool currently surrounded by clay bricks. I've read some unfortunate accounts of sandstone being used around salt water pools and notice that you always comment on 'using the right stone for the purpose'. So what natural stone would you recommend for my purpose please? live in tropical Australia. I promise I won't seal it! Thanks, Rhyl.

Dear Rhyl:

And where in tropical DownUnder exactly? I will be in Perth in October. J

Go with either paver of saw-cut and unfilled travertine or flamed (or bush-hammered) granite.

You should be in good shape, but to make absolutely sure I should test your pool personally with a couple of glasses of Shiraz to clear my idea up!! J

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri zio Bertoli
