Ming green marble

Having read many of your excellent answers already posted here, I still have a question. We just tiled the walls and shower stall of our bath with ming green marble. You have said that generally polished marble doesn't need to be impregnated, especially in areas where staining is unlikely, unless it's serpentine green marble. Our tile is definitely green, but I wouldn't consider it serpentine. If you were I, would you apply an impregnator to the walls or the mosaic shower pan? Thanks, Chris

Dear Christopher:

You're right: Ming Green is marble, not serpentinite. With an absorbency rate of 0.1% to 0.2% it does not absorb a darn thing.

Skip the sealing thing and learn how to care for it! J
