black galaxy granite countertops

Q.We have had black galaxy granite countertops installed. I tried the lemon juice and anywhere it lands turns gray. (I didn't find out about this test until they were installed.) The installer did apply a sealer. They removed the sealer with the appropriate stripper from your articles and the countertop still reacts with the lemon juice. We had a cut from the cutting board we received with the installation and it tested accurately as black galaxy granite. Our installer says there is not substantive proof that the stone has been doctored. He will replace if we pay for new stone. We will probably have to take him to court to get replacement. Is there any way of proving that the countertop has been doctored? Thanks, Jonelle Hexton
A.Hello Jonelle-Its possible that there is still sealer residue
creating the problem. That needs to be determined first.
If it has been resined there is a test kit that fred hueston sells to determine that.Is the cutting board from the same slabs. Please call me at 888-400-4302
