Where can I find ’real’ Absolute Black Granite

Q. I am from Weyburn Saskatchewan Canada and am in desperate need to know where I can get real absolute black granite, not fake or doctored stuff. We are building our new home and have a lot of granite going in and I just got onto your website and read about all the fakes out there. So I did a lemon test on our sample and it stained a lighter color, which from what I have read means its not real absolute black???  I am very confused, and the people I talk to at local granite stores don't seem to know anything about any of these problems. I don't mind paying for granite, but I want real granite, not stuff thats gonna stain, streak, etc... which they say real absolute granite from africa will not. Do you know who I could get in touch with that could get me some real stuff??? thank you

A. I am going to refer you to the Marble Institute of America (www.marble-institute.com). You need to locate distributors near you and question them on the phone, then follow up by visiting them and asking them to let you see and test an actual slab.
