Lagos blue alternative

Q.Thanks for your insightful website! I am in love with lagos azul--it's such a beautiful combination of brown, grey, blue and taupe tones. But, I know it's terrible for kitchen countertops. Do you have a suggestion for an alternative with a similar look that does not lean to the green tones?
Hello Dana-we are glad you like our site and thank you.
If its polished yes it doesnt belong in the kitchen. If honed and you understand the nature of the stone then it could be very possible for the kitchen. With a honed finish on this stone however you will lose the depth of color. Our founder maurizio spoke more about the importance of hiring a good fabricator who could help you soundly thru your stone adventure. He was right too because most of the troubles we are privy too is just about that and not so much the stone.Take a sample piece of lagos azul to a well known fabricator with good references and see if he can find you a stone that will be trouble free and beautiful as well. There are so many quality stones out there if you chose the right guide. If you cant find one at www.stoneandtilepros.com let me know and I will see if we cant find you someone.
