stain on granite

Q.I have white etched in stain on my dark granite countertop. I am not sure what it is. Anyway to get it off?
A. How old are your counters? Were they sealed? Is it polished or honed? Name of Granite?
Most Dark granites can be non porous and cant be technically sealed so it is possible the installers crew misapplied the sealer and the residue id etching from something acidic. It could also have been resined or doctored and is reacting to contact with something acidic. Feel free to call if you would like to discuss this and possible remedies.
