Stains on White Thassos Marble

We have installed a 12" x 12" white thassos marble tile in a residential shower stall. Approximately 2 years ago we experienced a water leak in the shower stall due to a faulty shower pan installation and the lack of caulking. The lower course of tiles were removed and replaced in order to repair the shower pan. Now two years later some of the replacement tiles are experiencing brownish/black spots appearing. Could this be from the minerals in the replacement tile or maybe the water conditions of the area? Any ideas?

Yes, I do have an idea and I don't really think that it could be consider an opinion:

You have water behind those tiles again.

If it were something caused by the setting material or something like that, it would have appeared immediately, not after a couple of years.

You may (and djust may) have water behind a few more tiles, but probably the new batch of tiles you used for replacemnet have some iron mineral within that's being activated by the osmosis. Check your grout lines.
