reccomended products for new countertop

Maurizio, we have had new countertops installed the material is Giallo Vincenza. I did the water test and saw no evidence of any darkening of the stone. What would you suggest we purchase to protect and maintain our new counters. Thank you

Dear Jim:

Naturally Giallo Vicenza is on the absorbent side of the chart, but it is also a most likely candidate to resining. I must assume that since no water was ever absorbed by it, your slab has been resined by the factory – which is a good thing overall. Among other advantages, the resining process effectively seals the stone permanently and therefore it will never need the application of an impregnating sealer.

Therefore, all you will ever need to fully enjoy your countertop is to use a good-quality stone spray cleaner like MB-5 and, oc cas ionally (once a week or so), MB-13 to spruce it up a bit. Be stingy with the latter product: a little is fantastic – more is no good! J

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri z io Bertoli
