stained onyx bar top

maurizio, i just took over a great steakhouse with a beautiful onyx bar top. problem is the former owners/managers didnt' seal the bar top and now it has a lot of stains from all the liquids that have been on it over the past 2 years. is there a product out there to take the stains out? can i stip the onyx down one level and then seal it? how can i bring back the natural beauty of the onyx bar top without replacing it? thank you for your help.

Dear Scott:

Onyx as a bar top?? ... What were they thinking?!?!... L

It's hopeless.

No sealer on planet earth will ever be able to prevent all the stains and “stains” that you have. You could have it professionally restored, but a week later it will be exactly as it is now – give or take a few stains and “stains”.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http:// www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Mauri z io Bertoli
