Negro Marquina spalling and cracking |
Article Number: 1680 | Rating: 1/5 from 1 votes | Last Updated: Sat, Dec 20, 2008 at 12:00 AM |
Q. I have a significant amount of Negro Marquina used on floors and walls that is spalling and cracking. Is this a common problem?
A. There are many reasons why Negro Marqina or any stone for that matter will spall and crack -- excesss moisture, improper maintenance techniques, etc. Unfortunately, it is hard to diagnose your particular problem without a more intensive investigation.
This is one of the types of consultation and examination services Stone Forensics offers. I would recommend that you contact me through www.Stoneforensics.com and schedule a on-site inspection to determine the cause and any possible solutions.
