Marble Tile in Public Restroom

Q.The project that I am currently constructing calls for Studio Marmi honed marble tile to be used for the floor of (2) public restrooms. This tile is required to have a SRV of .6 or higher. We sent (3) tiles to be tested by TCNA Product Testing Services, and the tiles (when wet) were under this requirement. After doing more research, I am finding out that marble is not a good choice when installed around toilets, urinals, and sinks. With all of this, is there a product that will seal the tiles, as well as raise the SRV. Thank you for your help.
Hi Jason-We spoke on the phone and you have pretty much answered you own questions. Marble is not a good choice in public restrooms maintained by a janitorial staff unfamiliar with stone.
