cleaning grout

Please help me to clean the White Antique grout! We did the renovation a year ago, but the company was bad, we had to do a lot of work ourselves. Now the grout is dirty in some places, I've tried the bleach, but it didn't work. How can I clean between the tiles without damaging it and without reinstalling the new grout? Thank you so very much!

Dear Yelena:

Please help me to clean the White Antique grout!

Sorry, but no can do: I don't do contracting work any more… J

I was about to suggest you to use a heavy-duty grout cleaner like MB-2, but if the bleach didn't do anything, then maybe the “dirt” that you have is some deeply embedded staining. If you could get some grout of the same color, your best bet would be to scrape the stained areas to a depth of approximately 1/8” with a grout scraping too that's available at any tile retail store or a Big Box store, and the re-fill with new grout.

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
