granite counter with rough spots

I have a counter that is 1 year old it is 48x72. There are numerous spots where I can feel the rough granite ,there is no coating on it. Do i need professional application of a sealer. The place I bought the stone from is bankrupt. thanks

Dear Rita:

Simply put, you've got a dog of a slab. No sealer for stone in the entire world will ever do the first thing about that.

If you're lucky you may be able to find near you one of those as-rare-as-a-white-fly stone restoration professionals that's able to fill your rough spots with flowing clear epoxy and then, once cured, grind, hone and polish to match. Look into the Yellow Pages under marble and terrazzo cleaning. Bur I can anticipate to you that's going to be like winning the lottery ticket!

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
