sealing stone and mortor pool deck

We installed a crab apple stone pool deck with mortar joints. We live in a climate where we have freezing weather. Should it be sealed to protect the joints, if so,can you recommend a sealer

Dear Jerry:
No sealer will ever be effective enough to keep water from seeping into your stone and its joints.
Let the stone and the mortar "breathe" freely and deal with possible pointing repairs if and when they will become necessary.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
