Honed & filled travertine floor with etchings

I have a flat finish honed & filled travertine marble floor in my foyer. Several tiles have etching from cleaning with vinegar and water mistakenly done by my house cleaner. Does MB-11 work for flat finish floors? Should I try this or sandpaper or something else first? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Dear Shenara:

No, MB-11 will not work: it is a polishing powder for marble and travertine, not a honing powder.

Get a half-decent orbital sander and a few sheets of metal-grade sand-paper in different grits. Start with an 80 girt or so, and then go over it with 120 and then 240. Done! All scratches and etchings are gone! Of course you'll have to spend some time with each grit, so to produce a very uniform surface, but you will reali z e that it doesn't take a rocket scientist!

And then, from thereinafter, use the right products to clean your stone with!!
